Recognized as the medieval capital of the Conca Valley, Montefiore Conca, in the province of Rimini, is characterized by an imposing fortress surrounded by artisans' stores that create an evocative atmosphere. From Montefiore there are many beautiful paths to be followed on foot or by mountain bike that cross all the surrounding countryside.
There are several architectural structures to visit in order to fully understand the ancient village: the city walls, the municipal theater, the parish church of San Paolo, the church of the Hospital.
The castle, with its severe and imposing geometry, dominates the village as a stone sentinel of the Malatesta lands and offers truly unique views since it stands on a promontory from which the eye can embrace the coast from Fano to Ravenna.
It rises not far from the town and is the most famous and popular Marian sanctuary in the Diocese of Rimini.
It is located at the beginning of the village, on the road that leads to Morciano. It was built between 1470 and 1474 to serve a small hospice for pilgrims.
