In the heart of the Riviera Romagnola, Cesenatico is a small city of art, characterized by a picturesque old town that combines modern urban structures with the atmosphere of the old fishing village. In the town are organized great events related to the world of cycling, music and gastronomy.
The Maritime Museum of Cesenatico, in addition to the collections displayed inside the pavilion of the Land Section, has a Floating Section, with eleven boats in the water complete with sails.
The Canal Port of Cesenatico was built in 1314, perhaps on the traces of an ancient landing place, for the mercantile need of the nearby city of Cesena to have an access to the sea.
