Not far from Faenza is Modigliana, a town that boasts ancient origins and a history rich in important events that are recalled with folk festivals. A town whose traditions are also reflected in its typical dishes, such as potato tortelli.
Crossing the Tribuna gate, you enter the historical nucleus of the village characterized by streams and ancient houses. In the old village of Modigliana rises Piazza Pretorio, a medieval square marked by an arch that must be crossed and overlooked by several buildings.
The current "Historical Apartment of the Bishops of Modigliana" dates back to the years 1850/54, it was the apartment of the Bishop of the Diocese. Perfectly preserved, it is now a small museum.

Il Teatro is one of Modiglianòs youngest wineries, born in the winter of 2014 and already in production since the 2015 vintage thanks to a beautiful heritage of old vines.
The winery was born in 2000 from the passion of Maurizio and Paola Costa. Research on single cru, careful zoning in collaboration with the University of Bologna, experimentation with international white and red varieties. Guided tours and tastings can be arranged.

The pass, 565 meters above sea level, connects the valleys of Tramazzo and Montone. On the pass, a stop is a must for the unbeatable view of the Montone valley.
