Known as a center of high fashion footwear, San Mauro Pascoli, not far from Cesena, is best known for being the birthplace of the poet Giovanni Pascoli. A small town that contains a lot of history and tradition to discover.
Villa Torlonia, the tower of Pascolìs memory, fulcrum of Pascolìs Poetry Park, is a splendid example of Romagna villa of the XVIII century placed on the road that connects San Mauro Pascoli to Bellaria-Igea Marina.
The Museo Casa Pascoli, the house where the poet Giovanni Pascoli was born, represents, together with Villa Torlonia, the center of Pascolìs memory.
This little church, which today houses two tombstones dedicated to the Fallen, boasts origins dating back more than a century. It seems to have been built in 1616 on behalf of the Vicar-Bishop of Rimini.
The new multimedia museum immerses visitors in Pascolìs poetry in an evocative itinerary: the cellars of the Tower are transformed into multi-sensory settings in which sounds, words and images envelop visitors.
