Among the green hills of the Marche region, Isola del Piano, in the province of Pesaro-Urbino, is known as the homeland of organic farming and a place where you can taste local products such as Montepulciano, Sangiovese and the famous sour cherry wine.
Placed along Via Garibaldi, it is the most ancient monument existing in Isola: it surely dates back to the time of the encastellation of the town with the mother church of S. Cristoforo (XV century).
A forest of 1500 hectares, between Fossombrone and Urbino, covers the Cesane Mountains. A large number of paths and trails, with various levels of difficulty, all marked, for walking or biking.
